Theatre has a certain magic that enthralls the audience. They laugh, cry, cheer, and tap their tunes to whimsical tunes. That theatre magic happens in community theatre with the help of many volunteers. Many hours have been spent planning all aspects of the show. This group of volunteers create a fantastic customer service experience for our patrons during their time at a production. Some of these responsibilities are outlined below:
If you are interested in volunteering to work as part of the front of house crew an upcoming production, please contact a board member! They can provide you with more information and answer any questions you may have.
House Manager
Manage audience services during the performances, train, assign, and oversee ushers; work with the Box Office to monitor attendance; communicate with stage management to ensure timely house opening and closing; assist patrons with any questions or needs; aid in the design and organization of the front of the house; ensure quality sanitation and custodial needs are met
Box Office
Oversee ticketing purchases and will-call tickets; monitor attendance and create a wait list, if needed; assist in purchase of theatre memberships; work with the House Manager on any patron question or needs
Ushers
Work in the front of the house during performances to greet patrons, take tickets, guide patrons to seats, distribute programs, or oversee concessions
