Director’s Application

Founded in 1975, New Minowa Players has presented over 120 straight plays, musicals, reviews, cabarets and melodramas in a variety of locations. We’re glad that you’re interested in working with us!

New Minowa Players' Annual Offerings:

  • Young People’s Production
    • August  
    • This show is for actors junior high through college age.
  • Children’s Show
    • October 
    • This show is for actors in 1st through 8th grades.
  • Creative Venture
    • November
    • This time slot is available for a cabaret, a show, or some other creative endeavor. It must be some sort of live theatrical performance.
  • Family Show
    • January 
    • This show should be suitable for family viewing. Actors are generally adults, sometimes with youth.
  • Spring Show
    • March or April 
    • This is a versatile time slot.
  • Summer Musical
    • June 
    • This show is performed at the Decorah High School Auditorium.


Applications for the 2022-2023 season will be due to the board president by March 31, 2022.

Creative Team Members

List the names of any creative team members you intend to work with (if you wish to have a certain team member position, but have no one in mind, please indicate so):
* Please note that New Minowa Players encourages the inclusion of all members of the creative team and technical staff you wish to work with on this project in this proposal. However, we can work with you to fill any open positions. If you are proposing a musical and receive notification that your show was selected, you are strongly urged to secure a musical director, accompanist, and musicians as soon as possible.
