This show includes some exciting character and ensemble roles.

Sonny Malone – Wide-eyed and full of dreams, Sonny is a struggling artist from the beaches of California.

Kira – Kira begins the play as Clio, the youngest of the muses. She quickly becomes Kira to help Sonny realize his dreams. She is ambitious, smart, and pure of heart.

Danny Maguire – Danny Maguire is a real estate magnate and owner of the Xanadu theater.

The Andrews Sisters – Maxene, Patty and Laverne are an exact duplicate of the Andrews Sisters that were famous in the 1940s.

The Tubes – The Tubes is an iconic, hard-rockin’ new-wave band of the 1980s.

Melpomene – Melpomene is the eldest of the muses. She is jealous of Kira finding love among mortals and leads the plot against her.

Calliope – Melpomene’s sidekick, Calliope is equally devious and listens closely to her sister’s directions.

Other Muses – Erato, Euterpe, Polyhymnia, Terpischore, Thalia, and Urania all assist in the plot against Kira.

Other ensemble roles: A play using Greek gods and muses must, of course, have a Greek chorus. Other roles include the Sirens, Zeus, Hera, Hermes, Thetis, Aphrodite, Eros, Cyclops, Centaur, and Medusa.
