Directors Hallie Johnson, Indigo Fish, and music director Sam Wilson are thrilled to bring live theatre back to New Minowa Players’ with the 2021 Young People’s Production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night! All young people going into 7th grade through just having graduated from college are eligible to audition, and we welcome all levels of experience.
Maintaining the health and safety of all participants and audience members is a top priority for NMP, and so, this year’s production will be entirely rehearsed and performed outdoors and in accordance with CDC and local health and safety recommendations. Rehearsals will take place June 28-August 4, with performances August 5-8.
In order to audition, please complete the following steps:
- Fill out this google form: https://forms.gle/fksVfG2vsWhZvMV89
- Record a video of yourself performing a 60 second monologue.
- If you are interested in singing in the production, record a video of yourself singing 16-30 bars of a song. (Preferably musical theatre, but we will be happy to hear anything you feel comfortable singing!) If you do not wish to sing in the production, you do not have to submit a vocal audition. This will not affect your eligibility for any role.
- Email your audition recordings to directors Indigo Fish (firstname.lastname@example.org) AND Hallie Johnson (email@example.com.)
When you record your videos, please make sure as much of your body is in frame as possible, especially your face!
Auditions will close on Saturday, June 12th, and callbacks will take place on Sunday, June 13. Please contact Indigo Fish (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Hallie Johnson (email@example.com) if you have any questions.
We hope you consider auditioning for Twelfth Night, and look forward to another fantastic YPP!
