Area residents will be invited to “Give Community Theatre a Chance” at an upcoming fundraiser for Decorah-based New Minowa Players.

On Thursday, February 26^th between the hours of 5:00-9:00 p.m. a portion of the proceeds raised from food and beverage sales at T-Bock’s Sports Bar & Grill on Water St. will be donated to NMP to help cover the cost of royalties and scripts for the 2009 summer musical, “Anne of Green Gables”.

Additional fundraising activities will be available during the evening, including a game offering “Chance” tickets used toward the purchase of unique member-donated door prizes. Those who wish to may contribute by signing drama masks that will be displayed at the NMP Theatre at 906 S. Mill St. through the Young People’s Production in August.

Vocal performances by NMP members and sing-alongs involving dinner patrons will occur during the night.
